About CG Modeling

This course begins with foundations of art and color theory. Along with traditional drawing, the student learns to draw and color objects, environments, and characters using a digital pen tablet. The student will explore dynamics and simulate effects like fire, water, smoke, and dust. The student will be exposed to creating stock elements that are generally used in VFX compositions. The student will also be trained extensively on topics like the particle system, rigid body simulations, fluid dynamics, cloth, hair and fur simulations. The student shall also be taught essential compositing techniques to enhance and correct color, add CGI elements to live action footages create and edit title animations. Through a series of hands-on exercises, the student learns cutting-edge techniques such as rotoscoping, 2D and 3D tracking, stabilizing camera shake, chroma keying, and wire removal. The student shall acquire a thorough understanding of the pipeline pertaining to production FX and visual FX.
